i'm a twenty-five-year-old stay-at-home mom. i'm married to a wonderful man and we will be celebrating our second anniversary this may. i have a outgoing five-year-old daughter named jessalyn, a rambunctious seventeen-month-old son named zack, and a sweet eleven-year-old stepdaughter named kirbie. i love to knit, crochet and sew. this is going to be my knitting journal. it's mostly for participating in knit the classics, but also for talking about the yarns i love and my projects i'm working on.
right now i'm working on a few projects. the project that i'm spending the most time on is my knitting olympics project, rogue. it's proving to be very involved, intricate and time-consuming, and i probably won't be finished with it by the deadline. but i'm glad that i took it on because it's going to be well worth the effort. i can already tell how beautiful it's going to be.
i'm also working on a gorgeous, soft, lace shawl for my "surrogate mother". i'm using handspun, handdyed wool yarn and i'm so happy with how it's coming out that i almost want to keep it for myself.
and my last unfinished project is one of the dolls from knitted babes for my daughter. it's coming out really well so far, and i'm looking forward to making all the clothes for it. my friend liked the book so much that i've promised to make her one as well :)
